Ordering Details
THE TRACHOMA STORY KIT consists of current best practice clinical, educational and health promotion materials. They combine new culturally specific flipcharts, posters, lesson plans, a DVD and interactive tool for use in remote Indigenous communities in Australia.
The resources clearly explain what trachoma is and what people can do to prevent it, in easy to read, user friendly language with colourful and realistic images of contemporary remote communities.
The messages reinforce the importance of good personal hygiene and the need for regular screening and medication to stop trachoma and to prevent it leading to blindness.
The materials will assist Aboriginal health workers, clinicians, elders and teachers in their education and health promotion work.
